Norovirus: Oysters accumulate pathogens when they filter poop-laced water, say experts
Norovirus is highly contagious and one can contract the virus by coming into close contact with patients or by consuming food, especially oysters and other shellfishes. According to CDC, each year 19 to 21 million people are contaminated by the virus.
